Poicha

Nilkanth Dham Swaminarayan Temple is located at Poicha village on the bank of river Narmada which is about 80 kms from Bharuch and 60KM from Vadodara.

It is beautiful swaminarayan temple constructed in large area and one of the most amazing pilgrimage attracts people around Gujarat.

pavagadh

Pavagadh is one of the major attractions for pilgrims and tourists. Pavagadh is mountain about 46 kms from Vadodara and 190 kms from Ahmedabad. It is situated in the Halol, Panchmahal district. It covers 42 Kms in circumference.

Champaner in the foot of Pavagadh is established by King Vanaraj Chavada in memory of his wise minister Champa. Champaner area is declared as protected area by the Archeological survey of India. Gujarat government has developed Pavagadh as a hill resort because of its scenic beauty and fresh atmosphere.

The hill of Pavagadh rises from Champaner in three stages. The plateau at an altitude of 1471 ft. is known as the Machi Haveli. State bus service is extended up to Machi. Small hotels and rest houses are available at Machi. Teliya Talav and Dudhia Talav come on top of Machi.

Famous temple of Goddess Mahakali is located on the top of hill. Rope-way facility is available from Machi to reach Mahakali Mata's temple at the top. About 250 steps have to be climbed from there to reach the temple.

On the roof of the temple is a adanshah Pir Dargah, visited by Muslim devotees.Pavagadh is also known as the birth place of Gujarat 's famous musician, Baiju Bawra.Halol and Kaalol near Pavagadh is very good place for tourist. There is also a film studio at Halol.

Dakor

Dakor, in its earlier phases as pilgrimage center in Gujarat, was famous for the Danknath temple, a place of shiva worship.

In the later phases it developed into a Vaishnavite center with the growing fame of Ranchhodraiji [form of Lord Shri Krishna] temple, which was built in 1772 A.D. Today this place is known not only as a pilgrimage center but also a trading center where one can get the articles related to puja, and other rituals.

Recently, Dakor is included in one of the six major pilgrimage places under "Yatradham Vikas Board" by Government of Gujarat for development as a well-planned and well organised pilgrimage place to facilitate the lacs and lacs of visiting pilgrims. More than 70–80 lacs of pilgrims visit the place every year and a continuous increase is witnessed every year. Over the years, much has changed at Dakor. From a small village of Dankapur, it has now transformed itself into a major center of religious and commercial activity in the region.

The small shrine of the original temple is now encased in a large temple complex, which has grown up around it. The current temple complex is set in a large square setting. Four gates pierce the outer walls at the cardinal points. Various offices and storerooms are set around the outer perimeter of the temple. The actual temple is set on a high platform in a complex, set in the style of medieval temples from the region.

CHANOD-KARNALI

This city of temples is at the confluence of the Narmada, Orsang and Saraswati rivers, and is therefore considered highly sacred.

A dip in the ghats here is seen as the most sacred of all the sites along the Narmada. It is a home to temples such as the Kashivishwanath Mahadev temple, which has interesting wall paintings, and various others.

At here after death by the bank's sail, chandod total 6 berths in Mallharao exist. A historic ferry crossing, this is the first step in the 1000 year ago. It is 64 and 60 feet Malhar Rao Holkar wide. Mallharao ferry was built and named after, the father-in-law Ahilyabai Holkar of Maheshwar.

KEVADIA

The Sardar Sarovar Dam is a gravity dam on the Narmada River near Navagam, Gujarat in India. It is the largest dam and part of the Narmada Valley Project, a large hydraulic engineering project involving the construction of a series of large irrigation and hydroelectric multi-purpose dams on the Narmada River.

A dip in the ghats here is seen as the most sacred of all the sites along the Narmada. It is a home to temples such as the Kashivishwanath Mahadev temple, which has interesting wall paintings, and various others.

RAJPIPLA

Zarwani Waterfall is located in the Shoolapaneshwar Wild Life Sanctuary in the district of Narmada.

The place is close to Vadodara. The water is perennial here and can be visited any time of the year.

The waterfall is one refreshing place in a dense part of the jungle and this is a famous one in that there are other places that can also be visited. People from the neighbouring places make it a point to visit this falls.

This waterfall is deep in a jungle where the mobiles are dead and there are no electricity lines overhead.

This is the fantastic Zarwani Waterfalls deep inside Shoolpaneshwar Wildlife Sanctuary. The waterfall is approachable from the road from Rajpipla towards Kevadia Colony.

Near Rajpipla, 1163 km away up the river from the sea, is Sardar Sarovar dam. At the reception center there is a map and an interpretation center. You can book a guided tour which will take you through six points around the dam site: a garden; the foundational stone laid by Jawaharlal Nehru in 1961; a site with a side view of the flow of the water from the dam: a lake where boating takes place; the first lock gate of the main canal; a trekking site with a nature education camp for students.

Near the she is also the Surpaneshwar Shiva temple that the Government had built to replace the original ancient temple that was submerged by the dam. At the foot of the dam is the Kevadia colony. where the employees of the dam live and where there are also places for visitors to stay.

At a height of 128 m and growing, Sardar Sarovar dam is the largest dam on the Narmada. The dam builders state their mission as “harnessing the untapped waters of the Narmada for survival at millions of people and environmental sound sustainable development of the western India by providing the essence of life-Water and Energy."

The dam provides water for irrigation and drinking water supply, hydropower, and flood protection across the state at Gujarat. From Vadodara Sardar Sarovar dam is just 90 kms faraway.

Ansuya Mata Mandir

A very famous Ansuya Mata Mandir is located at a holy village Anasuya near to Chandod, a birth place af Dattatreya, Chandra and Durvasa. Ansuya is 30 kms from Vadodara.
